website flatplans
This is my flatplans of my website pages. Ive decided to keep the layout on the website equally the same as most websites have a continuous layour and colour scheme. Changing it on every page would just confuse the reader. I would like the font to be simple san serif font such as Arial for the hyperlinks/pages. This is so the audience can easily view the link they are clicking on. The font of Flash will be kept the same as they are the main attraction , audiences will go on the website because they know its linked to flash magazine.
Colour schemes will be kept similar to the magazines as I dont want it to be too drastically different. The magazines colours are brights and they do clash because I wanted think the target audience would like a variety of colours , going against the typical convections.
The pages will have links down the left hand side and a calendar and top stories down the right. I wanted to keep my website simple because when looking through my research many of the websites were'nt smothered in texts until you clicked further on in the story. The cursor on my website will be a simple arrow as I came across websites which had changed their cursor to the theme of the website, however, I found that sometimes you couldnt see the cursor and it became difficult to see what you were hovering over and what you werent. The main background colours I would like to include grey as my magazine background pages keep grey as the theme as well as pink. In the hyperlinks their will be links that are in the magazine issue , so anyone who hasnt been able to get one of the magazines can easily go online to the website and see whats in our magazine. There will also be links that involve things like , art, cinema , accomation as its linked to a regional magazine. This links will be able to tell regional people what events are happening in art, what films are available at the cinema and where they can stay around the North East.
Feedback & Response
Feedback from my target audience has helped me make my magazine better. 18+ Chelsea Creaser wrote post it notes on my magazine to help me improve my magazine to more her needs as she is part of my target audience. I have doen this for both my billboard and website versions . Feedback has helped my magazine come along way with many drafts from my first attempt. Many people who give feedback on my attempts will have different opinions because obviously everyone likes a magazine in a different way. I will change the things that frequently appear.
Time Management
For my coursework I will refer to how I can manage my time and any deadlines for things I need to keep track of. Organisation with my coursework is very important and so to ensure I have my deadlines in order I have created a post with my deadlines on. My lesson time will be used wisely by using photoshop whilst any flatplans I can do in my own time.

3rd draft
On my 3rd draft I have chosen to add some different images on to my contents page to vary the image type on my contents page so the reader could see something different that would be included in the magazine.
On my front cover I changed the font colour so it was the same down the side because when it was a range of colours it could become confusing to the reader and could become the main focus which is not what I wanted.

website research - Inspirational texts
http://www.thecrackmagazine.com/
In my previous research on magazines I researched in to the regional magazine The Crack magazine which is a North East magazine hitting the target audience for teenagers. When going on the website I found it was very user friendly , something which I would like my website to be like. You dont want a website where the user cant find anything easily.
What I really liked about the website was the links down the left hand side and how they lay under specific headings. EG) the headings were current issue , previews and venue guide. Under current issue had links such as what and wear and horoscopes. Under preview had links to pages such as music , art, film and books, whilst under venue guide was things such as accomodation and bars and pubs. Something else I really liked about the website was the simple layout. On the homepage there was posts set out as if it were a blog with film reviews and pictures. I liked that the colours were consistant throughout the website so it wouldnt get to cramped or confusing for the user. Underneath the title I noticed it had January Issue and I liked that the viewer new what issue of the magazine was available.Once a new issue came out then I imagine they would change this and maybe even the colour scheme. Out of many of the websites I've seen this one was one of my favourites for a regional magazine.

My second website research has came from Crack Magazine which is also a website but based one art and music. When I first went on this website I found it was completely different to my first piece of research . The major difference was colour. The first website being http://www.thecrackmagazine.com/ had masses of amounts of colour featured with greens , pinks and blacks where as http://crackmagazine.net/ was plain with a simple white background and black text . The only colour visible was the ones on the images and even those were simple images.
Another difference was the layout of the website. On the first one there was links down the side where you coul simply find what you were looking for. The other website had each link set out differently. On the top you had links such as Art, About , News and Tickets and once you scrolled down the page then you would see more links but with a picture and text underneath ( like the image above).

This regional magzine Westside which is available in West London is another website I wanted to research after previously research the magazine in my magazine research. Again this website had a completely different layout. The links across the top were similar as there was links such as food and drink , art and style across the top and down the side had links such as competitions and twitter. Something I liked about this website was that they included a little tag line underneath the websites name. Something in which viewers can remember about the website.
The colour scheme again was very plain with just white, black and the odd red. I prefer the first research with the green , blacks and pink colours because as a view it makes me more likely to read it if its more colourful especially as my websites targeted at girls intrested in fashion then the website has to look creative.
